Everyone loves a sexy, half naked, Geek girl or guy and the men and women of Toronto’s Underground Peepshow are well aware of this. The Underground Peepshow is an official burlesque troupe that organizes awesome, sexy, and hilarious burlesque and vaudeville style shows at Toronto’s Underground Cinema. Founded in 2011 by 3 rather talented young men and women, Betty Quirk, Sevvy Skellington, and Barely Legal Leelando, this group of Geeky performers and producers have organized sell out shows that are the talk of Geek circles in Toronto. The troupe has so far put on 5 brilliant shows of sexiness with a Geek twist, and even did a rather spectacularly titled fundraiser, Holy Boobies Batman! Their first show, entitled Marvelesque, was a Marvel superhero themed show with 13 performers in varying costumes that might make Stan Lee blush. From that point on they’ve held The Evil League of Sexy (a burlesque of beautiful and classic villains), We Put The Spring in Springfield (yellow skin and Simpsons homages), Junko Mizuno’s Venus Cake: Junko’s Food Obsession Burlesque After Party (a show honoring the popular Japanese horror artist), and most recently the Super Smash Burlesque that brought a naughty twist to our nostalgia of 8-bit Nintendo gaming.

Advertised as “a night of Nintendo debauchery”, the show seems to have lived up to much of its claims, with over 16 great performers dancing, entertaining, and stripping for a sold out audience.
