Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Spike #1 Preview
Having fought to regain his soul after falling in love with the Slayer, Buffy, the once-terrifying vampire villain Spike has been a bit less fearsome (to humans, at least). On his own adventure, Spike is forced to examine the man he once was, the man he is now, and the man he still hopes to become in Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Spike #1.
After Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 9 #10, Spike has left Buffy with his steampunk ship filled with loyal, oversized alien cockroaches to embark on his own journey to the dark side of the moon. His new mini-series sets into motion an adventure filled with demons, witches, and others who brew new evil in the world without magic this Wednesday. Written by Victor Gischler, a man who a little something about vampires in comics, this will be the first Spike mini-series at Dark Horse in 13 years. Accompanying Gischler (Deadpool: Merc With a Mouth, X-Men) on art will be Paul Lee (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Predators) and Andy Owens (Dollhouse, Static Shock). Fans can also enjoy beautiful covers by Jenny Frison (Angel, Revival) and Steve Morris (Angel & Faith, House of Night). Check out a beautiful 5-page preview below and pick up your copy of Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Spike #1 when it hits stores August 22nd.
