This weekend saw the release of a new trailer and new poster for the upcoming first installment of Peter Jackson’s new adaption of The Hobbit. An Unexpected Journey will be in theaters this December 14th, the first of The Hobbit trilogy. As trailer #2 for the film opened many theatrical releases this weekend and spread around the net, some fans might have noticed different endings depending on where they watched the trailer. Curious why? Because the creators of The Hobbit are letting you make your own trailer for the film! By visiting the official website for the movie, you can choose one of 5 alternate endings to the second trailer of The Hobbit and share it with your friends via your favorite social network. Now really, you don’t do much in the way of truly creating a trailer, as you’re just choosing 1 of 5 slightly varying videos to share with friends. However, it is fun to watch through all 5 alternate endings for the trailer. You can check out the second trailer below with the Dwarves ending. Also, to bring to note what you likely might have already seen, the poster above is a brand new theatrical poster for the film released to celebrate Hobbit Day, today. Hobbit Day is the birthday of both Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, who were both born on September 22nd (of 2890 and 2968, respectively, in the Third Age or 1290 and 1368 in Shire-Reckoning). So HAPPY HOBBIT DAY EVERYBODY!
