Avengers #1 Variant Goes Gangnam Style
Psy’s popular korean dance music video has virally taken over the internet, television, conventions, and just about any place where people can dance. But now, thanks to the loveable merc with a mouth, Psy has moved his dancing game on to the covers of comics. Yes, Gangnam Style dance moves now are set to appear on the cover of a Marvel comic. Set for release on December 5th, Avengers #1 by Jonathan Hickman and Jerome Opena will have a variant cover by artist Dustin Weaver, featuring Deadpool doing his best Psy impression on the cover. Deadpool is riding the invisible horse, as he dances Gangnam Style over the normal cover to Avengers #1, eclipsing Captain America while he wears the fashion of Psy in the form of a dashing pink sports coat. Check out the cover below and compare it to Psy’s outfit from the music video:
Of course, this isn’t the only time Deadpool has danced Gangnam style, as we reported on the popular Deadpool cosplayer, D-piddy, doing just that last month. In fact, Deadpool has been listening to a lot of pop music recently it would seem, considering his Uncanny Avengers #1 variant last week that had him hoping you would call him…maybe, in the style of Carly Rae Jepsen.
