The superhero reality show, Superhero Idol, continues in issue #3 of Aspen MLT’s Idolized. But after the surprise twist at the end of last issue, just how are things going to unfold in this month’s edition of Aspen’s first ever superhero series? Joule, the series’ protagonist and energy manipulating superheroine, has been kicked out of the Superhero Idol competition! Now in Idolized #3, she is desperately attempting to find a way back on to the show– but even if she does, will she be able to survive the rest of the competition?  This issue of Idolized kicks the comic into high gear, as Joule faces off against the Top Ten finalists, the show’s producers, and her own seething cauldron of emotions, all in order to keep her desperate quest for revenge alive.

Written and created by David Schwartz (Meltdown, Fathom: Blue Descent), with gorgeous art by Pasquale Qualano (One, She-Hulk) and David Curiel (Action Comics, Dead Man’s Run) (replacing Micah Gunnell who is now off working on the amazing Ultimate Spider-Man TV series), Idolized is quickly becoming a fan favorite comic with great critical acclaim. Attendees of last weekend’s New York Comic Con were given the chance to pick up this issue early through a limited convention variant, featuring a photo cover of supermodel Rachel Clark. But those of you picking up your copy of Idolized in stores next week can pick from 3 other amazing covers featuring art by Micah Gunnell (Dellec, Shrugged), Keron Grant (Green Lantern, Son of Vulcan), and another beautiful photo cover of Rachel Clark. I must add, the painted retailer incentive cover by Grant is absolutely gorgeous! Idolized #3 is in stores next Wednesday, October 24th, and you definitely won’t want to miss out on this innovative new series as it nears its exciting halfway point.
