Last weekend’s first annual Las Vegas Comic Expo had a few hiccups along the way, but was a generally successful and well enjoyed comic convention according to those in attendance. However, not everyone who pre-ordered tickets got to attend the convention. This happens regularly with events of any kind, as personal situations arise and fans find themselves just out of luck and unable to participate. However, when this normally happens it’s just left as a small loss of money on tickets and/or hotel room costs for the fan and a bunch of friends saying how “you should’ve been there”. Las Vegas Comic Expo looks to try and make a difference here for the fans who pre-ordered tickets and couldn’t make it out to the show. In a post made on their Facebook event page, the staff of Las Vegas Comic Expo stated:

Going over our ThunderTix pre-sale reports and it looks like some of you didn’t get a chance to make it out to the Expo.

If you didn’t get a chance to come out this past weekend and if you’re local, private message me your name, order number, day your ticket was for, and your favorite Vegas comic shop and we’ll drop off a program book, exclusive limited edition Simon Bisley print, and any left-over freebies for you.

We don’t want any of our pre-sale buyers feeling boned for not making it out.

This is definitely a case of going above and beyond for any convention organizer, and a true sign of how kind the staff of Las Vegas Comic Expo are. You would certainly never see something like this at most other comic or anime convention, and large cons like SDCC and AX would just be incapable of it. So we at Speak Geeky To Me had to point this out to any fans of the show, especially those who pre-ordered tickets and could not make it, and salute the great staff of LVCE, as well as Las Vegas local comic shops, for this act.

In other Las Vegas Comic Expo news, while the dates and location for their 2013 show aren’t yet set in stone, they have officially created their 2013 Facebook event page. The page, which you can view here, is fairly scarce when it comes to information about next year’s show, but does prove the convention has quite the following with over 200 confirmed guests in less than 24 hours. For anybody who had any feedback about the 2012 show, such as complaints or things they think the convention could have done better, LVCE has even created a way to directly provide feedback for the show.:

So we’re going with a GMAIL account for our feedback. It’s just a better search, sorting, archiving, etc… mail service at this point:
LVCEfeedback@gmail.com
Write in Subject Line either:
EXHIBITOR
ARTIST
ATTENDEE
VOLUNTEER
STAFF
GUEST
VIP
MEDIA
or something to that effect SO WE KNOW WHO’S SENDING THE E-MAIL and can sort them and forward them to the appropriate person.
Let us know your complaints, comments, suggestions, praises, pet peeves, improvements, etc…etc…
What did work, didn’t work, would’ve work…
What should be back next year, what shouldn’t be back next year, what should be new next year…
Any issues with vendors, featured guests, venue, staff, volunteers, security, other attendees? Which ones were great and should be back?
Be brutal! We want to know what we can do to fix any issues that can be fixed.
There are lots of things we already know about, but let us know again. The more you compliment or constructively criticize a certain aspect of Expo 2012, the more we know how important it is to you guys.
Thanks, so much!

You can expect to find any future information on Las Vegas Comic Expo’s dates and location here as the information becomes available, and look around for our wandering journalists and photographers at Las Vegas Comic Expo 2013, we won’t be missing it and hope you wont either!
