Yesterday at New York Comic Con, John Cunningham moderated the DC Collectibles panel with DC Entertainment Co-Publisher Jim Lee, Director of Creative Services Jim Fletcher, Director of Product Management Ryan Mansour, and artist Lee Bermejo. There goal was to discuss the intricacies of creating collectibles, and give fans a peek at what lies ahead from DC Collectibles. Jim Fletcher started off by talking about DC upcoming line of pin-up style DC heroine statues, the DC Bombshells. These sexy collectibles take a more 1930′s-50′s style of American fashion and art combined with classic female DC super heroes for some rather great statues. The first two, featuring Wonder Woman and Supergirl, will be released in March and June of 2013 respectively.

The Batman: Black & White line of statues, which originated from the old Batman: Black & White back-up strips and mini-series of the 90′s, also got some conversation during the panel. It was announced that a second edition of Frank Miller’s Black & White Batman would be released in January and that a Black & White Batman based off the art of Sean “Cheeks” Halloway would see release in March of next year. There was also discussion of a Superman companion line to the Batman: Black & White statues.

This discussion of Frank Miller’s Black & White Batman also led to the reveal of a statue based of Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns (both pictures above). Miller’s TDKR statue, which features Batman mounted on a horse and is titled “A Call To Arms”, is set for rlease sometime next year. Of course, that won’t be the only Dark Knight Returns statue based on Frank Millers art coming out next year, as an all new Metallic Superman by Frank Miller statue is coming from DC Collectibles in February of 2013.

There will also be a rather stunning Jim Lee designed Metallic Superman figure released next year, and based on the image below, it will likely be a rather big seller.

Also getting a DC Collectibles statue will be Oliver Queen in his new CW Arrow outfit. The Arrow Icon Statue will be available in April, 2013, and feature a very accurately detailed version of the TV costume which premiered on CW earlier this week. Unfortunately not pictured is the upcoming seven pack of the Justice League action figures. Based on the New 52 designs, this 7-pack will be available for $99.95 and $10 of every sale will go to the We Can Be Heroes campaign. DC also wants to make sure you don’t forget that you can text Heroes to 80888 to donate $10 to the DC & WB charity, helping fight hunger in the Horn of Africa. But not all of DC Collectibe’s products are based solely in the DC Universe.

Some of the newer DC Collectibles items available next year will be from the more adult DC subsidiary, Vertigo, as well as their highly popular DC video games, like Rocksteady Studios’ Batman: Arkham City. Above you can see the awesome Vertigo Cover Girls: Death Statue, matching the style of the DC Cover Girls statues, which will be available next February. Also pictured above is the Batman: Arkham City four pack which will be available in March, 2013. This four pack features figures of Batman, Nightwing, Talia, and a mysterious unannounced figure. If you check back with us after Halloween, we will be revealing the fourth figure in the set. But fans of Arkham City have even more to look forward to next year thanks to DC Collectibles as we get not one, but two sexy new villain statues. The first statue features Harley Quinn in her incredibly smoking hot outfit from Arkham City, of which we have a trailer for below. The Harley Quinn statue will be release in January and MSRP for $124.95.

The second Arkham City based villain statue coming out next year from DC Collectibles will feature the famed Clown Prince of Crime, The Joker. Not wheelchair bound or covered in any titan serum side affects, this Joker status is sure to please…but sadly hasn’t been finished yet. Never-the-less, we have some early first look images at the unfinished digital sculpts below.

Finally, if you’re out at New York Comic Con this weekend, DC Collectibles has two exclusive DC comic figures available at the show. First up is an Aardman: Batman, which fans of the DC Nation cartoon block on Cartoon Network are likely familiar with. If you haven’t seen the Aardman shorts already, check out this preview of the DC claymation spoofs by the animation studio responsible for Wallace and Gromit as well as chicken run. The second New York Comic Con exclusive is a dual figure pack featuring Green Lantern John Stewart and Atrocitus at 3 & 3/4″ scale. This dual figure pack matches the style of their Green Lantern Action Figure 2-Pack exclusive from this year’s San Diego Comic Con. Both items are exclusive to the Graphitti Designs booth (#939), so swing by there if you’re hoping to get your hands on either items. DC Collectibles is also selling figures out of their booth (#1238) at New York Comic Con this year, so make sure you swing by. While you’re there, also make sure you pick up one of their $10-off coupons to save a little money on your DC Collectibles’ figures and statues.
