Next year, 2013, marks the tenth anniversary of Aspen MLT, and the publisher is planning its largest schedule of releases, events, and products to date! Founded by the legendary comic artist, Michael Turner, Aspen is looking forward to expand upon his great vision for the company by introducing a very ambitious plan. Branded the Aspen “10 for 10” initiative, Aspen will be releasing a new title each month, for ten consecutive months, with a price tag of only $1 for the first issue. Each title will be created by the publisher’s finest talents and feature a reader-friendly approach that will introduce newcomers and experienced readers alike to the worlds of Aspen. The 10 for 10 initiative will include a combination of five brand new concepts and five popular returning properties. The event starts next February with an all new series by creator David Wohl!

Announced yesterday at New York Comic Con, and starting next February, is the release of the action-adventure epic Legend of the Shadow Clan, created by Executive Assistant Iris creators David Wohl and Brad Foxhoven. The art team of Cory Smith (Broken Pieces) and John Starr (Fathom, Soulfire) will bring to life the creator’s vision of a storied history of clan warfare and honor mixed with a contemporary story of power and corruption. Legend of the Shadow Clan creator Wohl elaborates, saying “Legend of the Shadow Clan is a concept that’s been near and dear to my heart for several years now, and I’m thrilled that it can be part of Aspen’s 10-for-10 campaign. When Michael founded Aspen nearly 10 years ago, he cultivated an environment where creativity thrived, and all of Aspen’s titles have reflected that vision. Now, with the great team that Aspen has put together, we have an opportunity to follow in those tremendous footsteps, and I couldn’t be more excited, and honored, to be part of it.
