Star Wars finds a home on Disney XD!!
May 22nd
Lucasfilm announced yesterday that production has begun on the next Star Wars animated series, titled Star Wars Rebels, and will be set between Episodes III and IV. In the 19 years between the events of these films we know that the Empire continued its meteoric rise, Vader began hunting down the remaining Jedi that had escaped Order 66, and a small group of idealists would give birth to the Rebel Alliance. Given the title of this new series, I think it is safe to say that it will focus on the birth of the Alliance and the fight and struggle More >

Viz Brings Back OEL Manga In The Form Of Max Steel
Jan 29th
OEL Manga, or Original English Language Manga, was a title that came to popularity around the mid-2000′s, when American manga company, Tokyopop, started heavily producing North American created comics in the manga style and format. Tokyopop was hardly the first company to do this, but they became one of the most popular and criticized groups for doing such, with over a dozen such titles becoming popular best sellers. But long before Tokyopop, companies like Antarctic Press and Viz were putting out manga created by North American writers and artists. It was a rarer genre of comics, but it did exist. More >

This Saturday morning, fans of DC comics will likely all find themselves gathered around the television once again for some Saturday morning cartoons. The favorite past time of youths dating back half a century of gathering around the tube to watch animated dramas and comedies is still alive with DC Nation, the DC block of cartoon programming on television channel Cartoon Network. The DC Nation block had actually disappeared without warning last October, during New York Comic Con, leading many fans to worry that all of the comic company’s cartoons had just been canceled. While no proper explanation was ever More >
Watch The First Two Full Episode Of Dragons: Riders of Berk
Aug 9th
Dragons: Riders of Berk is a brand new CGI animated series from DreamWorks Animation and based off the popular film, How To Train Your Dragon. Of course, that movie is in turn based off of Cressida Cowell’s book series, also named How To Train Your Dragon, but the film separated far enough from the book series that the TV series will hardly show a resemblance beyond character names and concept. Never-the-less, the movie How To Train Your Dragon was great, and with another 2 year wait before we get the sequel and 4 years for the third film in the series, this More >

SDCC ’12: Avatar – The Legend of Korra Panel
Jul 18th
We were going to write up a very detailed summary of overly crowded panel on Nickelodeon’s greatest TV series ever. It would have included a bunch of bootlegged photos of the concept art for the series (like was seen on our twitter), quotes from the cast and crew, and information about book 2 of The Legend of Korra, Spirits. However, this is the modern era of technology where words sometimes just can’t do a big Comic Con panel any justice. So without further adieu, I present you all the San Diego Comic Con 2012 Legend of Korra panel:

Superman Vs The Elite – Review
Jun 9th
Warner Bros. Animation is back with another direct to DVD (and Blu-Ray) animated superhero film. This time they’re taking on Joe Kelly’s Action Comics #775 story, “What’s so funny about truth, justice, and the American way?“. Entitling the film Superman Vs The Elite, the name for this film rather directly tells you what happened in both comic and adaption. Yes, this is the classic Superman story where Kal-el goes up against The Elite, a super hero team with no qualms against killing. Yet this seems like a very odd choice for DC to adapt into a movie. While it was More >
