Aug 29th
Marvel made some small announcements at this years Fan Expo Canada, and we’re here to give you the highlights if you missed them or couldn’t make the convention yourself. First up is the news on what is coming to Dark Avengers this December.
Back in June the Thunderbolts on-going series changed its name to Dark Avengers with issue #175. As we mentioned in one of our FQC’s at the beginning of the month, Marvel was looking to make a new TV series at ABC to tie in with the Marvel movie-verse. More recent news added that with Joss Whedon’s new contract to direct the Avengers sequel and guide the Marvel movie-verse, he would in some way be attached to the ABC TV series if it ever got off the ground. Well, it looks like that might just happen as The Wrap reports on some breaking Marvel media news. It seems ABC has entered into an agreement with the folks More >
Rob Liefeld Tweets Out Of DC Comics
Aug 26th
The ever controversial Rob Liefeld officially stepped away from DC comics earlier this week, with a rather big drop via his twitter account. He officially leaves Grifter, Deathstroke, and Savage Hawkman with their #0 issues next month. However, if it wasn’t so close to the release of those issues, some question if DC would even publish those. Why? Because Liefeld has been making a rather spectacular spectacle of himself recently on his twitter account. Now this isn’t the first time fans might have seen Liefeld go off on another member of the comic industry online, but this certainly seems a big scale event More >
Purchase Your Alter Ego At…Petco?!
Aug 25th
Last month, DC Entertainment premiered some rather fun dog toys at comic con in the way of squeaky plush pups that my youngest puppy wont stop reminding me I actually purchased. However, that was just the start of new DC superhero toys and products for pets, as Fetch officially unleashes a whole line of DC items at Petco’s across the nation today. This comes just months after Marvel’s release of pet products through Fetch this past March. However, it seems the two competing comic companies also compete in what stores carry them, with Marvel at PetSmart and DC at Petco. I’m not sure More >
Skottie Young Makes Babies Of The Marvel Universe
Aug 25th
This November Marvel has some incredibly cute new variants lined up from artist Skottie Young. Skottie Young has long now been a beloved artist over at Marvel, known for his cute art style that currently adorns Marvel’s Oz comics. Hilariously, his art style seems to highly contrast his darker, more adult writing style we’ve seen in books like Magento: Not A Hero and the upcoming Untold Tales of Punisher MAX. But ever since his Midtown Comics variant of Avengers Vs X-men #1 (picture above), all anyone can think of when they think of Skottie Young is babies. So in the month of November, More >

Marvel is in no way shy to throwing big launch parties at comic shops who are willing and capable of hosting them, having done launch events for titles like Dark Tower and Uncanny X-men.
