E3 Preview – DC’s Injustice: Gods Among Us
May 31st
Despite E3 being just around the corner, some game companies just can’t wait to announce their big new games. DC comics had to jump the gun with their very interesting looking new project, Injustice: Gods Among Us. Put out by WB Games and NetherRealm Studios, the companies replacing Midway after it’s 2009 bankruptcy, this new DC comics themed video game will be designed by the creators of Mortal Kombat, something the company is proudly pushing. This is the company’s second attempt at producing a DC themed video game, following the rather unsuccessful release of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. The company More >

As we reported some time ago, the new DLC for Batman: Arkham City becomes available today. Harley Quinn’s Revenge is almost a new game or mini-sequel that directly follows the story played out in Batman: Arkham City. After the fatal events that ended the original game’s story, Harley Quinn is out for vengeance on the bat she blames for taking her love away. The DLC comes free with the game of the year version of Arkham City or runs $9.99 on the PSN and 800 Microsoft Points on the Xbox360. In this DLC, players will now be able to escape More >
Lego Batman 2: DC Heroes To Feature Nightwing
May 20th
It shouldn’t come as too much of a shock to many Speak Geeky To Me readers that my favorite comic character is Dick Grayson. I particularly love his Nightwing costume and persona, having actually grown out my hair to match his mullet (which I had no clue was a mullet, and I never had one, I swear) look from the early 90′s. So as a fan of the Lego, Geek themed, video games I am absolutely ecstatic to see that Lego Batman 2: DC Heroes will feature Nightwing as a playable character! The game already allows you to play as More >
Stan Lee, Stan Lee, Does Whatever A Spider-Man Can in The Amazing Spider-Man Video Game
May 19th
Activision currently has a release date of June 26th for their upcoming movie tie-in video game, The Amazing Spider-man. However, this isn’t just any movie video game, as it actually works as a direct sequel to the movie…despite coming out a week prior to the July 3rd film premier. The game takes place after Michael Morbius accesses the Oscorp research of Dr. Curt Connors (the Lizard) to create more cross-species experiments. Because of this, Spider-man will be running up against the Rhino, Iguana, and Black Cat. Oh, and there are some pretty gnarly spider-slayers (see the trailer below). The game More >
Blizzard saves Australians from Hell
May 14th
With the steady rise in digital distribution and retail over the last decade, brick and mortar retail stores have suffered as customers stop visiting their stores, instead favoring the 24/7, home-accessible convenience of the web. As part of that trend, the large videogame retailer GAME went into administration in the UK in March this year. GAME’s other branches are following suit, and now the Australian GAME branch has entered administration too.
That’s bad news for Diablo III fans in Australia, as pre-orders will not be honored or refunded. Usually, dedicated fans would have no other choice but to purchase another copy of More >

Have you ever known that game that you HAD to have, and it wasn’t just enough to have it eventually, but you needed it the minute it was released? Well for a good number of people, Diablo III is one of those games. Out of a small group of friends I play with, most of them have talked about clearing this week for the release of Diablo III. For those who weren’t able to request this time off from work, rumors of being sick have been brought up for at least a couple of days this week just to make More >
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier…and Tits
May 14th
Some video game companies sure are scared about not selling their product, to where I can only imagine the frantic screaming of “We may not hit the numbers we want! Tits and ass, hurry! TITS AND ASS!” So, to battle that terrifying thought of not making sales, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier developers Ubisoft decided on a…not so descreet business marketing scheme. To fortify their sales and to draw in more of their targeted audience, Team Ghost was made. Team Ghost consists, so far, of three celebrities, NBA star Kevin Love as the team’s shooter/sniper, Oklahoma state football star Justin Blackmon More >
