Frank Miller is back on Batman for a brand new piece in his Dark Knight series at DC Comics, Dark Knight III: The Master Race. Having already written stories like Batman Year One and All Star Batman and Robin that Miller considers officially cannon parts of his Dark Knight epic, this new piece could be the trilogy end cap for the officially titled Dark Knight comics. Why? Well, considering how many Frank Miller fans out there are still waiting for more Sin City that was promised to them or the prequel to 300, Xerxes, that was even previewed in Dark More >
After an epic reveal today in San Diego Comic Con’s Hall H, the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer is now being played at the DC Comics booth (#) and is available to watch online, down below! The unbelievable hour and a half long panel wasn’t entirely focused on the new DC comics movie, also featuring the stars and creators behind Suicide Squad, Pan and The Man from U.N.C.L.E., but Batman v Superman and it’s trailer were certainly the highlight. With a huge cast presence of Ben Affleck, Henry Cavil, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Gal Gadot as More >
Ditching the golden scale armor for black ink scales, Jason Mamoa has donned the costume of Aquaman for 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Director Zack Snyder tweeted this image just a short while ago via twitter, with the hash tag #UniteTheSeven. This film just keeps adding heroes to the cast, and you’ll note that while Aquaman is the king of Atlantis and the Seven Seas, there also happen to be 7 core members of the Justice League (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern, and currently Cyborg of the New 52). I wonder which connotation Snyder was More >
Director Zack Snyder has apparently been in a very favorable mood this past week, with teasing tweets for his upcoming film, Superman/Batman. This epic sequel to Man of Steel has had much buzz around it since its first announcement at San Diego Comic Con last year, and has driven the internet crazy after casting announcements that included Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. There has been mixed feelings about casting, with twitter just about exploding in various yays and nays after Affleck was announced as Batman. But one thing is certain, the movie is being talked about More >
Since the announcement at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, fans have been going crazy waiting for any and all news relating to Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel, Superman/Batman. The casting announcement of Ben Affleck as Batman sent the internet into an uproar, but today’s new new will undoubtedly kick things up another notch. It seems this new Superman film won’t just feature Batman in addition to Henry Cavill’s Superman. 2015’s Superman/Batman movie will actually feature DC comic’s full trinity of superheroes by including Wonder Woman!
Today it was announced that Wonder Woman has been cast by Zack Snyder for More >
While DC scrapped much of their rich comic continuity 2 years ago for the New 52 version of the DC Universe, they still respect their long history. This has been noted throughout the year with many images, panels, and even logos denoting Superman’s 75th anniversary. Now, what could be considered the pièce de résistance, DC has released a short animation showcasing some of the greatest moments in Superman’s history over the past 75 years. The short includes various comic covers, actors, cartoons, video games, and comic events from Superman’s life while also showcasing the many appearances, art style changes, and costume More >
That is a sentence I never would’ve imagined writing, even thinking it’d be more likely I’d first find the chance to write ‘Ben Affleck is directing the new Batman’ or ‘Ben Affleck is now writing the Batman comics’. But, according to Greg Silverman, of Warner Bros. Picture’s Development and Worldwide Production, Ben Affleck is going to play Batman in Warner Bros. next live action DC Comics film. Silverman made the announcement today alongside Sue Kroll, Warner Bros. Picture’s President of Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution.
So what film will first show case the Ben Affleck Batman? More >
The newest Superman movie is set to release later this year and there has been quite a lot of talk about it. Will it be amazing? Will it be horrible? Will Henry Cavil be a good choice as Superman? Can Zack Snyder pull this off? Will this Superman be a darker film like Nolan’s Batmans? Well, we’ve seen hints of images, teaser trailers, and clips, but now we have a brand new full trailer full of incredible scenes and inspiring moments. I for one now find a bit of excitement as I watch this trailer and am actually looking forward More >
He rather elusively hid himself from us in his first trailer, but now the second trailer for WB’s upcoming Superman movie, Man of Steel, finally shows us Henry Cavil in full Superman garb actually flying around (as opposed to just standing in handcuffs like last week’s theatrical poster or the early production shots). This new trailer, set to air before The Hobbit in theaters, finally gives us a better idea of Zack Snyder and David Goyer’s story for Man of Steel, with much of the trailer focusing on Clark Kent’s youth. But fret not, we get a few juicy Superman scenes More >
This might be one of the most surprising movie posters we have seen in relation to a comic movie to date. The new poster for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel does not depict Kal-El in some dynamic pose of flight or fighting. Instead, we see Superman restrained and withheld, captured not in kryptonite but mere handcuffs. Behind superman stands several blurred and near anonymous military captors. So what did Superman do to get arrested? Well, for that we might have to go see the movie, and that certainly means the poster is doing its job. But it is an odd More >
