Debut of Eureka Seven: Astral Ocean
Eureka Seven (交響詩篇エウレカセブン or Psalms of Planets Eureka seven) has debuted a new spin-off series this week. The anime will debut on television in Japan on April 2012, but the first chapter of the manga has already been transcribed into English. The series is called Eureka Seven Ao (AKA: Eureka Seven: Astral Ocean) which is a direct sequel to the original Eureka Seven series.
For those not familiar with Eureka Seven, it is a standard boy-meets-girl mecha series that is highly influenced by Evangelion. The original anime run consisted of fifty episodes, and the original manga run consisted of six tankoubon. The series is most famous for the well-known character design of Anemone: a sadistic pink-haired girl who wears a hoop-skirt and loves sweets.
