Batman: Arkham Origins Teaser Trailer
May 16th
The newest game in the Batman: Arkham line from DC Comics, Warner Bros Interactive, and Rocksteady Studios is set for release this Fall. Well, that is except for the fact that Rocksteady Studios will not be involved in this round of Arkham fun, as Warner Bros has decided to bring the game to their in-house studio at Warner Bros. Games Montreal. A worrisome fact, certainly, but many of the designs, including the modified Unreal 3 Engine, will stay with the game. The new game will be called Batman: Arkham Origins and was announced online last month. Batman: Arkham Origins features an More >

Comic’s Silver Age Star, Carmine Infantino, Passes Away
Apr 4th
Carmine Infantino was a comic creator that truly knew how to create. If ever there was an equivalent to Stan Lee at DC Comics, a man who created countless characters and helped shape the Silver Age of comic publishing, it was undoubtedly Carmine. Growing up in humble conditions post-depression, Carmine was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1925. His first published comic gig took place when he was merely 16, working on Timely Comic’s USA Comics #1 (inking his friend, Frank Giacoia’s pencils on “The Origin Of Jack Frost”, written by a young Stan Lee). Though Infantino also provided art for More >
DC Says We Can Be Heroes Via IndieGoGo
Apr 3rd
I hope you all are well aware of DC and WB’s charity project, We Can Be Heroes, by now. It is a great charity program that helps raise funds for groups working in the Horn of Africa to fight hunger, poverty, and illness. It is doing this by using the characters and creators of DC comics to raise awareness while also giving fans something awesome and DC related for their donations. The charity has been around over a year now and, to prevent the waters from calming, they have found a great new way to stir attention and bring in More >
The Best April Fooling of 2013
Apr 1st
We at Speak Geeky To Me decided to skip the traditional trickery played out on this fun day here in 2013. Sure, we thought about informing you that Superman: Red Son was being made into DC’s next live action movie or that Angelina Jolie had signed on to play Grace in Aspen MLT’s upcoming Soulfire film. We considered posting about Orson Scott Card being hired at Marvel to write an on-going series involving a gay Hyperion or even mentioning George Lucas’ agreement with Bob Iger to make Star Wars Land in Des Moines, Iowa. But in the end, we just More >

Snyder & Capullo Bring Batman Back To Year Zero
Mar 11th
No, Scott Snyder is not writing Batman into a Nine Inch Nails album or a book by Jeff Long or Robert Reid. However, what he is doing is trumping Frank Miller by going back and telling the story of Batman’s first year as a caped crusader…the year before Year One. Batman: Year One was one of Frank Miller’s most famous Batman tales, a post-Crisis on Infinite Earth‘s origin for Batman that ran from issues #404-407 of the main Batman title back in 1987. It was the story of Bruce Wayne’s first year of Batman and has been the basis for Christopher More >
