DC Says We Can Be Heroes Via IndieGoGo
Apr 3rd
I hope you all are well aware of DC and WB’s charity project, We Can Be Heroes, by now. It is a great charity program that helps raise funds for groups working in the Horn of Africa to fight hunger, poverty, and illness. It is doing this by using the characters and creators of DC comics to raise awareness while also giving fans something awesome and DC related for their donations. The charity has been around over a year now and, to prevent the waters from calming, they have found a great new way to stir attention and bring in More >
San Diego Comic Con Hotel Rooms Round 2!
Mar 1st
Did you get a hotel room for this year’s San Diego Comic Con? If so, congratulations! But if not, well that is a bummer, don’t worry yourself to death just yet. By now everybody who landed a room has already got their email confirming. Sadly many of you have not. But the good thing is that email confirmation wasn’t a guarantee and people still had to put down a deposit before the end of the day. Some people sadly wont have the money, will have ended up getting a room that might’ve been 5th or 6th on their desired list More >
San Diego Comic Con Hotel Race!
Feb 25th
While those great exhibitors and presenters we pay to see each year at San Diego Comic Con got their hotel rooms ages ago, tomorrow is the big day for general attendance to queue up for a room downtown during San Diego’s big geek gathering, Comic Con International! The hotel reservations for the Comic Con block this year will be handled by Travel Planners, a third party travel group that should be able to handle the Comic Con traffic. Unfortunately, as we saw already earlier this month, Comic Con web traffic is insane this year! Don’t expect things to get any More >

Cyborg 009 To Get The First Truly Digital Comic Variant
Jan 24th
A big fad that has returned to the comic book industry in recent years is the variant comic book cover. Often a tactic used by publishers to sell multiple copies of the same comic to a single person or convince retailers to purchase extra copies of a comic in return for a high ratio, rare cover of the comic, Archaia Entertainment is taking the variant concept to a whole new place this week with the release of Cyborg 009: Chapter 000.
Cyborg 009 is a popular manga series by Shotaro Ishinomori that began back in 1964 and has since spawned countless More >
Aspen’s Full 10 for 10 Series Announced
Jan 3rd
We’ve been talking about the Aspen 10 for 10 initiative since Comic Con International last July, but the closest we ever got to sharing with you all the full list of titles being released for just one dollar was after last year’s Long Beach Comic Con. Since then we’ve had little releases to share for the early months of this year’s 10th anniversary celebration with Aspen, but now we can finally share with you the full list! For Aspen’s 10 for 10, the publisher will be debuting a new series each month for ten straight months, featuring five all new More >
Dark Horse Officially Re-Announce’s Gerard Way’s New Comic – The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys
Dec 18th
Announced way back in 2009 at San Diego’s Comic Con International, Dark Horse happily shared with fans of comics and My Chemical Romance alike that the band’s front man would once again be writing a new comic series for the company. Called The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, it was originally hinted at a release coinciding with the My Chemical Romance album of 2010, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. Previously the singer and comic writer, Gerard Way, had written the highly successful Umbrella Academy comic series which drove many MCR fans that had never seen the More >
Superman Cuffed In New Man Of Steel Poster
Dec 5th
This might be one of the most surprising movie posters we have seen in relation to a comic movie to date. The new poster for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel does not depict Kal-El in some dynamic pose of flight or fighting. Instead, we see Superman restrained and withheld, captured not in kryptonite but mere handcuffs. Behind superman stands several blurred and near anonymous military captors. So what did Superman do to get arrested? Well, for that we might have to go see the movie, and that certainly means the poster is doing its job. But it is an odd More >
