WonderCon has moved yet again, but it’s guaranteed to have the fans move with it this year while bringing in a large number more thanks to the new location of Los Angeles! Home of the stars, movie studios, and several comic publishers, expect this show to have a fair number of Geeky celebrities present. If you can, you need to get tickets fast, and prep your travel plans because downtown LA is not always an easy place to get to, stay at, or find parking. But if you do make it? There will be a lot of fun things to More >

Today is a very special day, the birthday of comic artist Michael Layne Turner. He was a pillar in the modern comics community, known for his stunning art and particularly amazingly drawn female heroes. For those who had the honor of meeting him, he was known for his constant and sincere smile and great personality. He was what all comic creators should aspire to be; a brilliant artist with a great respect for his fans, a creator of beautiful work and popular creations, and even the founder of a now 12 year old comic company that holds his initials and More >
While you may not see a major presence from some of the big comic publishers, like DC Comics or Marvel, at Anaheim’s Wonder Con this year, the smaller publishers that love their fans the most will be out in force. One of these great publishers exhibiting at WonderCon this year will be Aspen MLT. Aspen will be attending WonderCon 2015 this weekend, April 3rd through the 5th. They will be hosting 2 panels during the show and have a booth located in space #501, where they’ll play host to signings and portfolio reviews throughout the convention.

It has been a chain of never ending conventions these past few months, with comic cons, anime expos, retailer roadshows, and more! But this weekend is a rather fun highlight as Long Beach Comic Expo returns to sunny Long Beach, California for it’s 7th annual spring expo. This year they seem bigger than ever before, with a huge jump in the number of guests and exhibitors attending the rather large show. Gone are the days where this was a teaser show for the fall event of Long Beach Comic Con, because now this is a notable venture all on its More >
Shortly after celebrating her 10th anniversary, Fathom’s popular anti-hero, Kiani, will be back for a fourth volume. Kiani first appeared in 2004’s Aspen mini-series that bridged the gap between Fathom volume 1 and 2. The popular Michael Turner character has since had a huge effect on the Fathom universe, having been tied to many major antagonists of the series through blood (the DNA kind) and blood (the spilled kind), and she’s even been the star of her own mini-series three times in the past. In February of 2015 she’ll bring that number to 4 with the newest volume of Fathom: More >

We have a lot of love for Aspen Comics here at SG2M, so we were thrilled when they announced earlier today that they have acquired the exclusive publishing rights for the entire library of fellow Indy comic publisher Big Dog Ink. Owner/publishers Tom and Kim Hutchinson will continue to be the creative backbone for Big Dog Ink’s original titles. In addition to BDI’s catalogue of past titles, BDI will be moving forward as an exclusive imprint of Aspen Comics. With this deal, BDI will have access to a broader customer base at retail and digital levels and will also have More >

Well, let’s start with the creators.
