A Game of Holmes – Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law return for a second film in their fast paced, new series of Sherlock Holmes. This time we get an interesting World War I look to the film, as seen in the trailer to Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows below.

Out of the Starman comes The Shade – One of the best part of James Robinson’s Starman series was the redesign of old school comic villain, The Shade. His 1997 mini-series is one of the best comic mini-series DC has ever released. If you agree with me on this, then you’re about to explode with happiness. Thanks to a recent sneak peak at the October releases from DC comics, over at CBR, we are now aware that James Robinson is back with his incredible anti-villain in a twelve issue mini-series. The Shade will be drawn by Cully Hammer (Red), with issue #1 hitting stores October 12th

The sexy Liam McIntyre as the titular star of Starz's Spartacus

The Sexy New Spartacus – For those of you trying to keep up with Starz’s excellent gladiatorial series, Spartacus, there has been a lot of questions about whether or not Andy Whitfield’s replacement for the titular character could stand up to the task. Well, thankfully Entertainment Weekly has released a series of new photos showing the upcoming star, Liam McIntyre dressed (or undressed) for the role. Looks to me like Spartacus: Vengeance will live up to it’s previous one and a half seasons quite beautifully!

Doraemon, a film 100 years before birth – In the story of Doraemon, Japan’s famous cartoon cat without ears, our protagonist was born (or created) on September 3, 2112. Loyal fans wont have to wait that long for his big animated film however, as it releases next year. Doraemon’s official website has just released the trailer for the film and you can check it out by clicking here.

Jet Li goes 3D – Jet Li’s newest wushu extravaganza is going to be in 3D, with a teaser very recently seeing release. Check out the trailer to Tsui Hark’s The Flying Swords of Dragon Gate below:

Bring on the Ultimate Mutants – Set to come out mid-September from Marvel, the upcoming Ultimate X-men may not be all mutants. Incredible indie writer, Nick Spencer, steps it up over at Marvel with the talented Paco Medina for a new #1 on the X-gene driven Ultimate series.
