For all Geeks looking for a post con season return to anime, comic, and cosplay fun that live around California’s Riverside County, might I suggest swinging by today’s Art, Anime, Comics, & Cosplay Expo? The small convention runs for just several hours mid-day today, but offers various forms of Geeky fun, including a cosplay masquerade I will be judging. The warm weather of summer is still striking Southern California, so cool off for a day at a fun show that also helps support several great non-profit organizations!

Anime Vegas Is Closer To Having A Date, Just Not When You’d Expect

Anime Vegas is coming up on its 10th year as a convention in the Nevada oasis that is Las Vegas. The only problem is, while there will be an Anime Vegas 10, no one knows what days it will be held on or where it will be located. Due to some problems in negotiating the originally intended venue for the tenth annual Anime Vegas, the convention is temporarily without a home or set weekend. FanimeCon ’13: Pre-Reg Ticket Line

Yesterday’s lines for Fanime’s pre-registered ticket pick up were absurd out here in San Jose. Things weren’t nearly as bad as last week’s Motor City Comic Con in Detroit, but fans still were waiting for hours to pick up the badges they paid in advance for, hoping to jump line of on-site registering attendees. The lines outside the Fairemont Hotel wrapped back and forth so tightly and for so long, it almost felt hopeless for those stuck waiting, but determined to have their badges immediately for today’s show. This weekend is FanimeCon’s 20th anniversary, so come celebrate with us and tons of other anime and video game fans at San Jose’s great convention center.
