The City of Sin went from a desert oasis that lacked comic conventions just a few years ago to a city quickly on the rise when it comes to that topic. August 2013 Solicits For DC Comics

DC has some final issues set to come out this August along with some special one-shots. Continuing DC’s big summer event of the Trinity War, there is a Trinity War Directors Cut special which features Geoff John’s script and Ivan Reis’ penciles. You can also look forward to the huge Batman Inc Special with its solicit directly below. Sadly a few titles are on their final issue, so fans will have to say goodbye to great series like Legion of Super-heroes, Demon Knights, Dial H, and Threshold. New Creative Teams For Swamp Thing and Red Hood & The Outlaws

April’s solicits for DC aren’t out just yet, but we already have news about some of the big creative team change ups. It was announced a while back that Scott Snyder would be stepping away from Swamp Thing to focus on the many other titles he was currently working on, and issue #18 would be his final issue. Long Beach Comic Con ’12: Aspen Panel

One of the more informative industry panels at this year’s Long Beach Comic Con was that of Aspen MLT’s. Aspen has had a strong tie to the Long Beach convention since it’s inception, and this year the panel delivered a bounty of great news about the companies upcoming year of publications. Many of the news pieces covered at this show had already been touched on at conventions like San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con, but in lesser detail.
