The Amazing Spider-Man Blu-ray & DVD Review
Oct 19th
The Amazing Spider-Man, Sony’s newest Spider-Man film, hits stores on DVD & Blu-Ray this November 9th, just a few short weeks away. Starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, the movie was a box office success in theaters this summer, even if it didn’t manage to out gross its previous 3 predecessors. But where the Tobey Maguire films had The Amazing Spider-Man beat financially, Garfield’s incarnation of the webslinger on screen presented a much more enjoyable film. Losing much of the cheese found in Sam Raimi’s trilogy, Marc Webb’s take on Spider-Man was much more action packed and slightly darker. Now More >

This followed the events of the Avengers/New Avengers storyline from spring which had Norman Osborn form a new Dark Avengers. Some of his remade team later found their way into the Thunderbolts program, and therefore the Thunderbolts comic series by Jeff Parker. More >

Stan Lee, Stan Lee, Does Whatever A Spider-Man Can in The Amazing Spider-Man Video Game
May 19th
Activision currently has a release date of June 26th for their upcoming movie tie-in video game, The Amazing Spider-man. However, this isn’t just any movie video game, as it actually works as a direct sequel to the movie…despite coming out a week prior to the July 3rd film premier. The game takes place after Michael Morbius accesses the Oscorp research of Dr. Curt Connors (the Lizard) to create more cross-species experiments. Because of this, Spider-man will be running up against the Rhino, Iguana, and Black Cat. Oh, and there are some pretty gnarly spider-slayers (see the trailer below). The game More >
