The Amazing Spider-Man, Sony’s newest Spider-Man film, hits stores on DVD & Blu-Ray this November 9th, just a few short weeks away. Starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, the movie was a box office success in theaters this summer, even if it didn’t manage to out gross its previous 3 predecessors. But where the Tobey Maguire films had The Amazing Spider-Man beat financially, Garfield’s incarnation of the webslinger on screen presented a much more enjoyable film. Losing much of the cheese found in Sam Raimi’s trilogy, Marc Webb’s take on Spider-Man was much more action packed and slightly darker. Now More >
Marvel made some small announcements at this years Fan Expo Canada, and we’re here to give you the highlights if you missed them or couldn’t make the convention yourself. First up is the news on what is coming to Dark Avengers this December.

To promote comic movies there have been many interesting forms of product cross promotion. We’ve seen everything from Batman pimping soda to bacon with Avengers trading cards in the package (I can’t imagine how greasy, yet delicious those cards were). However, Carl’s Jr. and The Amazing Spider-man might have just found the best cross promotion ever. To celebrate the release of the new Amazing Spider-man film (that many critics are calling quite the mess), Carl’s Jr. is running a promotion FOR TODAY ONLY where you can get a free burger! Yes, a free Grilled Cheese Bacon Burger from Carl’s Jr. More >

Activision currently has a release date of June 26th for their upcoming movie tie-in video game, The Amazing Spider-man. However, this isn’t just any movie video game, as it actually works as a direct sequel to the movie…despite coming out a week prior to the July 3rd film premier. The game takes place after Michael Morbius accesses the Oscorp research of Dr. Curt Connors (the Lizard) to create more cross-species experiments. Because of this, Spider-man will be running up against the Rhino, Iguana, and Black Cat. Oh, and there are some pretty gnarly spider-slayers (see the trailer below). The game More >
