Covers to DC’s new 52 #8′s

[private]It was so hard not to make a Super 8 reference somewhere in the title to this post.
At any rate, DC offices have been closed this holiday week, but that hasn’t stopped their bloggers from posting previews of the upcoming covers for their many New 52 titles coming out in April. These #8 covers not only look great, many of them give us a hint of things to come (and a sign as to what series are still around). Check them out below.

It has been a solemn year for comic fans, as yet another iconic comic legend leaves our world today. Joe Simon was born October 11, 1913 and lived a long and fulfilling life. During his time in comics he created several comic icons, such as the Newsboy Legion, Manhunter, and the Fly. Along with another comic legend, Jack Kirby, Joe pioneered the field of Romance and Horror comic books. Joe was also the first man to hire Stan Lee in the comic book field. For those of you who didn’t, the basic jist is that the famous actor got booted off his flight for refusing to turn off his phone. Sisterhood of Dune Tour Announced

[private]Just a short while ago the tour dates were announced for Kevin J. Anderson & Brian Herbert’s 2011 Dune signing tour. This tour is for the release of their upcoming Sisterhood of Dune book, the newest in their Heroes of Dune book series. For those of you not in the know, the Heroes of Dune books are interquel novels, taking place between Frank Herbert’s classic Dune novels.
