New Bond Girl Announced Today
The newest Bond girl for the upcoming James Bond flick, Skyfall, certainly has some defined lips. Today it was announced Tonia Sotiropoulou will be the newest (of so far three announced females) Bond girl in the fall release of the long awaited 23rd James Bond movie. Many of you, outside of Greece, are probably unfamiliar with the Greek actress’ work. She has done several TV series, most notable of which was the comedic series Lola, about a man turned into a woman. In Lola, Sotiropoulou played an ex-girlfriend scorned, named Romina, that magically curses the dashing male protagonist, Leonidas, making him the beautiful and confused Lola. In Skyfall, Sotiropoulou auditioned for the role of Séverine, one of the movie’s presumed femme fatales, but lost the part to the French actress, Bérénice Marlohe. Now she is playing a new unknown role, simply listed as Bond’s girlfriend. Though, with word from Daniel Craig that this new Bond film isn’t too closely tied to his first two, this could truly mean anything. Never-the-less, Sotiropoulou seems quite excited for the role, posting on her facebook today (as pointed out by Brendon Connelly):
Dear friends I officially announce I got a part in J. Bond new film!!! Turkey here I come! Thank u all for you love and support! This is officially the happiest day of my life bitches!!!
She will apparently be filming new scenes in Turkey later this month. All we are left saying is that is one beautiful girl, with lips that would make Steven Tyler envious, and we look forward to seeing her in the film.
