So last night’s episode of Game of Thrones continues high expectations for the series with some great new moments. But as the series continues, and deaths pile up, there of course needs to be new characters. Fans of the TV series were already introduced to major new figures like Mance Rayder, the King Beyond the Wall, in the season 3 premiere. But now HBO has a new featurette starring the cast and crew of Game of Thrones as they talk about many of the new characters introduced this season. Discussed in the featurette posted below are:

Game of Thrones Gets Renewed For A Fourth Season
Apr 2nd
At this point, one must question if there was any doubt whether or not Game of Thrones would get a 4th season. The incredibly successful HBO show based off the works of George RR Martin has millions of followers and most of them seem to have tuned in on Easter’s record-breaking premiere. Sunday’s season 3 premiere of Game of Thrones saw an average of 4.4 million viewers tuned in for the 9PM airing. With this, HBO confidently announced that it would be bringing back the series for another season today. Season 4 will focus on the latter half of George More >
Prepare For Season 3 Of Game Of Thrones
Mar 24th
It has been almost 10 months since season 2 of HBO’s Game of Thrones ended with the dramatic episode, Valar Morghulis. As some of you Song of Ice and Fire fans might be aware, “Valar Morghulis” is High Valyrian for “all men must die”. This old Valyrian phrase is traditionally answered with “Valar Dohaeris,” meaning “all men must serve”. Equally, HBO is responding to the season 2 finale ending of Valar Morghulis with the season 3 premiere episode, entitled Valar Dohaeris. The episode premieres in 1 week, on March 31st at 9PM. It is sure to be a crazy season, More >
A Rap Of Ice And Fire On Game Of Thrones Season 2 DVD & Blu-ray
Jan 8th
Perhaps one of the more amusing moments on the Game of Thrones Season 1 DVD/Blu-ray from HBO was when the Stark kids busted out singing over the opening theme song of the show in the episode 3 commentary. It was incredibly unexpected yet absolutely hilarious. Now as season 2 prepares for DVD/Blu-ray release on February 19th we’ve sadly learned the kids wont be humming through the theme yet again…they’ll be doing something much better! On the Season 2 Episode 3 commentary track, Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran Stark), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) will be beatboxing and rapping More >

A King Beyond The Wall And Other Casted Roles For Season 3 Of Game Of Thrones
Aug 17th
As season 3 of Game of Thrones starts casting, it has finally been announced that the supporting role of Mance Rayder has been cast. Mance Rayder should be well known to any fans reading the George RR Martin novels, but even fans who are watching the TV show only have likely heard the name, as it refers to the ‘evil wilding’ that rules north of the wall and plays villain to the brothers of the Nightwatch. So who will portray Rayder in the 3rd season of Game of Thrones? Why it’ll be Irish actor Ciarán Hinds playing Mance Rayder, who some of More >
Blackwater Is Coming – War in Game of Thrones
May 21st
After last night’s episode of Game of Thrones we now have less than one week until the big battle of Blackwater! Yes, episode 19 is nearly upon us, which means the climactic land and sea clash between Joffery (or realistically, Tyrion) and Stannis Baratheon is about to come to a head. We’ll be having a small viewing party at Fanime next weekend, but hopefully you all find a great place to view it as well. Of course, if you don’t know what I’m referring to, feel free to catch up on Game of Thrones on HBO on Demand, HBO Go, More >
First Images From Blackwater – Game of Thrones
May 19th
Fans of George RR Martin’s Song of Ice and Fire book series have undoubtedly been waiting throughout season 2 of the hit HBO series to see the epic battle of Blackwater. Well, thankfully the series producers are promising fans they will get just that. With episode 9 of the second season of Game of Thrones, we are told we can see the actual naval battle take place in the rivers of Blackwater without any quick cut aways or plot devices that have us returning to screen just after the fires smolder away and the battle is done. Best of all, More >

Maps are a wonderful thing, as they can tell you where you are, where things happened, and give you a strong idea of why things happen based on the location and placement of peoples, cultures, and things. Thankfully for Geeky fans of HBO’s Game of Thrones and Nickelodeons Avatar series, both companies have graciously provided us with free, interactive maps of their respective worlds.
HBO has given us a lovely interactive map of Westeros & Essos, the land in which A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones takes place in. This beautiful map shows fans all the locations that events More >
