Jul 18th
Dark Horse has let loose their list of awesome an exclusives, panels, and signings for this year’s San Diego Comic Con, but one bit remains a mystery. While you can pick up all kinds of cool items at their booth, #2615, and meet all sorts of well known creators…one special guest’s name is hidden from view until Tuesday July 22nd. It’s a teasing mystery that instantly draws my attention, but with no answer in sight for some days let’s focus on what we do know.
As per usual, Dark Horse has a rather amazing store filled with their awesome products at More >

After last week’s surprising appearance of a trailer for Avatar: The Legend of Korra Book 3, fans were ecstatic and eagerly awaiting more news on the project. However, I think very few of us expected an announcement so soon. Even more surprising is that the announcement would be the premiere date for The Legend of Korra season 3…only one week away! Talk about coming right out of nowhere and going right into the spotlight of things to come. Yes, Book 3 of The Legend of Korra, entitled Change, is set to premiere on June 27th. Furthermore, not only will the More >
Avatar: The Legend of Korra Book 3 Trailer
Jun 11th
Thanks to the wonderful Michael Dante DiMartino, otherwise possibly known as Leaky McLeakerpants by his partner and Avatar co-creator Bryan Konietzko, we now have the official Avatar: The Legend of Korra Book 3 trailer. This trailer for Book 3, Changes, comes to us early according to Konietzko. Why early? Probably due to Nickelodeons very unfortunate leak of episodes 3-6 of the new season that happened last week (more details on that below). A few details on Book 3 trailer: the music is provided by Jeremy Zuckerman, it was edited by Jeff Adams, the motion graphics were done by Matt Gadbois, More >

Tomorrow is Free Comic Book Day, perhaps one of the greatest days of the year for comic book fans. This year there will be a lot of incredible offerings for FCBD, but we might not all be able to grab every single one of the books. So if you have to choose, we thought we’d give you a quick review guide of some of the cooler and more popular titles available in stores tomorrow.

Wondercon ’14: Venture Bros Art Book Coming To Dark Horse
Apr 20th
Dark Horse has always produced some wonderful licensed series tie-ins from comics to art books to even models. Recently, one of my favorite of these releases was the Avatar: The Last Airbender and Avatar: The Legend of Korra art books. Done in a beautiful oversized hardcover, these books provided a great behind the scenes look at the series with never before seen art and commentary from the crew that created such a wonderful cartoon. But now Dark Horse has obtained the right to publish another, similar style art book based on another very popular cartoon: Venture Bros!

NYCC ’13: Avatar Legend Of Korra Poster
Oct 1st
Many people look at New York Comic Con as the second San Diego Comic Con International of each year lately. Fans get updates on news announced earlier in the year on the other side of America and panels seem to replicate or compliment one another. It’s a rather awesome thing, as if the show’s were actually related. Therefore, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to see Nickelodeon playing out a lot of the same promotional activities at this year’s New York Comic Con as they did in San Diego, but with keen New York exclusive twists. Once more More >
Sokka’s Sword From The Last Airbender Made Real
Sep 23rd
Avatar The Last Airbender is a long loved animated series that truly has a cult following of fans that attach their hears to almost every object, critter, and character created throughout the series. But one of the more beloved items in the show is a weapon belonging to the comic relief character, Sokka. While the character of Sokka wielded several weapons throughout the show’s three seasons, including the often reliable boomerang, his unique and character defining weapon was that of a special sword he hand crafted from a meteorite that had fallen to earth in the show’s third season. Nickelodeon is finally giving fans of Avatar what they’ve been longing for throughout the past year, Book 2 of Avatar: The Legend of Korra! Back during San Diego’s Comic Con International, we shared with you all that Book 2 of Avatar, titled Spirits, would be released sometime in September of this year. Fans in attendance of the convention’s panel even got a rather awesome sneak peak at the entire first episode of the new season. I’m sure many of you have been dying for the same treatment, and fans who already got to see the first episode have been begging More >
