Idolized #2 Preview
In just 17 more days the spotlight returns to a handful of super powered potential heroes when Superhero Idol starts in the pages of Idolized! Yes, issue #2 of David Schwartz’s incredible new comic series about a young girl on a superhero reality TV series comes out later this month, continuing the action and drama that began in the #0 & 1 issues this summer. While trying out for the hit new TV show, 18-year-old Leslie Linnell (aka Joule) has just begun competing for a spot in the crime-fighting group “The Powered Protectors”. Now she must prove her courage, powers, and ability to win the hearts of millions of viewers so that she can seek vengeance for her parents tragic death at the hand of the villain, Stasis.Idolized #2 is brought to you, of course, by the talent mind of David Schwartz (Meltdown, Fathom: Blue Descent) and the equally talented hands of Micah Gunnell (Dellec, Shrugged), the series artist. David Curiel (Action Comics, Dead Man’s Run) accompanies the team on colors, providing some of his brightest and most vivid work in recent memory. While the first 2-issues of Idolized were wrapped in some brilliant covers by many great artists, issue #2 only features 3-covers, but still manages to bring on some great talent. Cover A and C are both done by Humberto Ramos (Amazing Spider-Man, Runaways), with colors on cover A done by Aspen’s very own Peter Steigerwald (The Ravagers, Lady Mechanika). Meanwhile, on cover B we get another beautiful photo of the always lovely Rachel Clark, dressed as Joule, photographed by David’s brother, Michael Schwartz. The added super powered effects on cover B were done, once more, by Steigerwald. You can check out all 3 covers and 3-page preview to match down bellow. As always, don’t forget to pick up your copy (or copies) of Idolized #2 when it hits stores this September 26th.
