Today Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Entertainment unveiled the details for their upcoming Injustice: Gods Among Us Collector’s Edition. Injustice: Gods Among Us is DC’s new fighting game, made by the same developer that designed the recent Mortal Kombat games, featuring alternate universe versions of your favorite DC characters ready to beat the absolute heck out of each other in interactive and destroyable levels. The game is set to come out in April of 2013 for the Xbox360, PS3, and WiiU. But only the Xbox and Playstation versions will see collector’s edition packages. But what will make these collector’s editions worth the hefty $99.99 price tags? Well, amongst other items not yet announced, DC collectibles is include rather incredible statue. The Exclusive DC Collectibles statue features iconic DC characters Batman and Wonder Woman in the Fortress of Solitude, with Wonder Woman using the Last Son of Krypton’s escape ship (you know, the baby carriage Superman was brought to Earth in) to bash open the dark knight’s skull. It is an incredible 13″ tall piece beautifully rendered with a combination of injected and hand painted decoration. But that’s not all, because also in the collector’s edition is:

  • A special collector’s edition of a brand new DC comic book series
  • A Digital download code for the DC Universe animated film Justice League: Doom
  • Three exclusive skins based on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman from the New 52

But lets face it, the real gem in the hundred dollar package is that statue, which would probably sell for just as much on its own from DC Collectibles. This collector’s edition for Injustice: Gods Among Us, a game many DC and video game fans are currently scoffing at, might be the tipping point to draw in a lot more sales for the game.
