A Look At The Retailer Covers For Legend of the Shadow Clan #1

Last month we told you about the many awesome retailer incentives Aspen MLT was offering for Legend of the Shadow Clan #1. Perhaps the most amazing of those incentives was that for any retailer who ordered 750 total combined copies of the standard and Reserved variant edition covers of Legend of the Shadow Clan, the retailer could then have an exclusive cover featuring their store logo or image incorporated into the cover illustration. April 2013 Solicits For DC Comics

April brings some big surprises to the DC universe, but you wont see much of them on the covers or solicits to this month’s books. DC is bringing gatefold covers (fold out covers that were quite popular about 20 years ago in the comic industry) to each of the New 52 titles, with the hidden half of the cover that will be folded up on the shelf all set to shock and awe the readers. Shrugged Gets A Second Volume From Aspen MLT

Michael Turner and Frank Mastromauro’s brilliant tale of a teenage boy faced with a small angel and a demon only he can see on his shoulders, Shrugged, was easily a classic of early Aspen MLT publishing. Unfortunately, midway through the series’ release, series co-creator and Aspen founder, Michael Turner passed away. Still the series pressed on after Turner’s passing and found itself an amazing conclusion. Yet questions of a sequel to Shrugged continued to prevail amongst fans at Aspen’s many convention panels. Well now questions can finally be put to rest as Aspen officially announced the second volume of Shrugged.
