Howard the Duck is a goofy and unexpected Marvel character, on par with Deadpool in many ways, created by Steve Gerber and Val Mayerik. DC Retailer Roadshow, A Perspective From Convergence Fest

Yesterday night was the DC Retailer Roadshow in Burbank, CA, the future home of DC Comics starting this May. The event is a semi-regular gathering of comic Retailers with the head of Sales, Publishing, and a few other admin/creative types from DC Comics to discuss upcoming events, sales tactics, incentives, and generally share ideas with one another. This January some of Marvel’s top heroes will line up to welcome home someone or something. The first issue of Django/Zorro has not only sold out, but it was also an exemplary comic form of a Quentin Tarantino movie. Of course, this is as it should be considering it was co-plotted by the director as if it was an official sequel to his popular American Western, Django Unchained. Fathom’s Kiani Comes Back For Her 4th Series With A New Look

Shortly after celebrating her 10th anniversary, Fathom’s popular anti-hero, Kiani, will be back for a fourth volume. Kiani first appeared in 2004′s Aspen mini-series that bridged the gap between Fathom volume 1 and 2. The popular Michael Turner character has since had a huge effect on the Fathom universe, having been tied to many major antagonists of the series through blood (the DNA kind) and blood (the spilled kind), and she’s even been the star of her own mini-series three times in the past. Marvel Cancels Upcoming Covers By Milo Manara.

In this Tuesday’s edition of Diamond Comic Distributors “Product & Shipping Updates” it seems that 2 upcoming variant covers originally solicited to be drawn by the legendary Italian artist would now be drawn by someone else. Siya Oum (Aspen’s Lola XOXO) will be providing the art for October’s Avengers & X-Men: Axis #1, and the artist for November’s Thor #2 has yet to be announced.
