When last year’s smash hit movie, The Avengers, hit theaters many fans new to Hawkeye and Black Widow instantly questioned “What happened in Budapest?” Meant as a joke to also support the characters having a past relationship in the film universe, countless fans have come to believe the comment exchanged between Black Widow and Hawkeye was meant to be something far more indepth, and perhaps character defining. Googling the scene, you can see a rather large number of results where people debate what exactly happened in Budapest between these two Avengers. Now, thanks to comic writer Nick Spencer, fans might finally get an answer. Coming up on February 13th is the release of Marvel Now’s Secret Avengers #1, a new on-going comic series about SHIELD’s black ops style Avengers group. The team consists of Taskmaster, Mockingbird, Hulk, a new Iron Patriot, the Winter Soldier (though not officially part of the team, just playing a major role in the book), Nick Fury Jr., Agent Coulson, and, of course, Hawkeye and Black Widow. Furthermore, the first mission these Secret Avengers go on bring them to none other than the capital of Hungary, Budapest!
