The Walking Dead # 106 - Preview
It’s Charlie Adlard’s 100th issue of The Walking Dead since taking over for Tony Moore and one question is on everyone’s mind. Of course, this is probably the most common occurring cliff hanger question throughout The Walking Dead: What is going to happen to Carl? He’s been shot, left alone with zombies, shot again, and found himself in countless dangerous situations, but none perhaps as questionable as this current one. After the events of The Walking Dead #105, Carl finds himself an unwanted guest of the new villain, Negan. As realization slowly reaches Rick and his camp, we all must wonder what Negan is going to do to young Carl and whether or not Rick will be able to show up in time to save his son. Thankfully we wont have to wait too much longer, as issue #106 of The Walking Dead hits stores this Wednesday, January 9th.
The Walking Dead was created by Robert Kirkman and has been written by the prolific comic scribe ever since issue #1, but the current series artist, Charlie Adlard, didn’t hop on the book until issue #7. Now Adlard gets to celebrate his 100th issue by providing an additional cover to the comic. The cover is a nice little variant featuring Rick Grimes and some of the series most memorable panels drawn by Adlard. You can see the variant to the right, with the normal wrap around cover and a 4-page preview down below.
