Long Beach Comic Con ’12: DC Announces Before Watchmen: Dollar Bill

We had a brief chance to talk with Len Wein this past weekend at the Long Beach Comic & Horror Convention about his newest DC project, Before Watchmen: Dollar Bill. Announced late last week, Before Watchmen: Dollar Bill is to be the 9th Watchmen prequel under DC’s highly controversial Before Watchmen banner, featuring many big name creators working on early stories about the classic Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ characters. Before Watchmen Release Dates Announced

Today DC has given us all some new news pertaining to their controversial prequels to Alan Moore’s famous Watchmen comics. Before Watchmen will lead off on June 6th with Before Watchmen: Minutemen #1 by Darwyn Cooke. Each week following will get a new #1 Before Watchmen issue, with Silk Spectre, Comedian, and Nite Owl coming out throughout June. Release dates haven’t been given for Dr. Manhattan or Rorschach yet, but you can imagine they’ll see release in subsequent weeks of July.
