Who wants some Star Wars news?

So this week has been pretty flush with great news for Star Wars fans (one bit of news is even greater for Southern California fans) all coming out of Celebration Europe II in Messe Essen, Germany this past weekend.
Kathleen Kennedy announced that John Williams would once again be providing his incredible talent to score Star Wars Episode VII.

Anime Expo ’13: Brenna Wigs Out

While on the floor of this year’s Anime Expo, model and actress Brenna Rhea got fitted for a brand new and very anime themed wig. The cotton candy colored wig was available at Fanciful Gifts and is sure to make anyone fit in to the cosplay heavy exhibit floor of California’s largest anime convention. SDCC ’13: Kickstarting Grump

Grump is a long talked about project from comic colorist Beth Sotelo that is finally being made a reality. Sotelo is one of the industry’s top colorists, having worked at Top Cow, DC, Marvel, and Aspen MLT, she mentored under Peter Steigerwald and worked with greats like Marc Silvestri, Jim Lee, and Michael Turner. Currently she is the colorist on the All New Fathom and Shrugged series from Aspen MLT. At this year’s San Diego Comic Con she debuted the Kickstarter for her new comic series, Grump, done entirely by her.

Ommegang To Bring More Beer From Game of Thrones

Earlier this year, Brewery Ommegang brought to life the Game of Thrones in a rather unique fashion. With the aid and licensing of HBO, the New York brewing company made a delicious blonde ale beer by the name of Iron Throne. This Game of Thrones inspired beer quickly sold out across the country, being a highly sought after and limited consumable product. SDCC ’13: Avatar’s Last Airbender Returns In 2014 For The Rift

Dark Horse recently released the second volume in the continuing adventures of Team Avatar, as the last airbender and his friends sought to track down Fire Lord Zuko’s mother in The Search. The Search is part of a three volume series that wraps up this October and expands upon the Avatar: The Last Airbender cartoon series in comic format. But now we have news from this year’s San Diego Comic Con that the fun doesn’t stop with The Search, and Aang and his element bending pals will continue their comic book based adventures in 2014.

SDCC ’13: Avatar Panel & News

This year brought Nickelodeon’s cast and crew of Avatar out to San Diego Comic Con for yet another amazing panel that had fans spending the night in line just to get into. Filled with amazing cosplayers, big exhibitors, a stunning artist alley, a very large video game room, panels, and much much more.
