It’s still not May 4th, but the Assassin Creed IV news still comes in with the tide as more news leaks. Now we have a trailer that looks might fantastic and pirate-y that also confirms Thursday’s information like the new Assassin’s name and the game’s release date. Check out the trailer below:

 

As you can see, the trailer confirms the pirate theme, along with our new protagonist’s name: Captain Edward Kenway. It also gives us the games release date of October 29th, 2013. Extra bonus, it confirms a post made over at Kotaku earlier this week showing off an Assassin’s Creed poster done by Todd McFarlane (shown below). Apparently this poster will be given away free to those who pre-order from Gamestop. McFarlane, the well known comic creator who helped co-found Image comics and create the classic character, Spawn, had already attached his name to the Assassin’s Creed franchise earlier this year when he revealed the upcoming Assassin’s Creed line of toys, set for release this summer from McFarlane Toys, at New York Toy Fair. Still, that is some beautiful art and somewhat a surprise that might drive comic fans into their local Gamestop. I wonder if there will be any news to report on left by 9AM Monday.
