Back during this year’s South by South West festival, Marvel made the huge announcement that it would be giving away 700 Marvel #1 titles for a limited time only through Comixology. As news spread, fans from all over flocked to the digital comic website and flooded their servers with download and purchase requests for these free issues. Unfortunately it was too much for Comixology’s site to handle, causing the website to crash or load at a snail’s pace. The staff of Comixology stayed up all night trying to solve the problem, keeping fans up to date via twitter. However, in the end, they ultimately had to pause the promotion until they could figure out a better way to handle the influx of customers. On March 11th, David Steinberger, CEO and co-founder of Comixology made a press release informing fans that the promotion would return at a later date. There was even a small email list fans could sign up for that would inform them when the promotion would be made available again. If you signed up for this email list, you likely received something in your inbox today that looks a little like this:

So for those still interested in this promotion that is sure to provide a ton of great free reading options from Marvel, you have until tomorrow, April 9th, at 11:59PM to go to this site and sign up for the email list. Then, starting April 11th, fans will be receiving emails with their invitation to access the Marvel #1 promotion. All you really need is a Comixology account. So if you don’t have one, go sign up for free, join the mailing list, and get ready for more free Marvel comics than you could read in a month (if not longer!)
