Wealthy socialite Marla Drake is back in her cat suit wearing, vigilante form! Originally known as Black Fury, the character more popularly known as Miss Fury first appeared in Sunday comic strips of 1941 through 1952. Marvel Comics, back when the publisher was simply Timely Comics, reprinted these strips as comic books in the mid-1940′s. Miss Fury’s comic strips have also seen reprint from Archival Press and IDW. She has been revived by both Malibu Comics and Marvel, with the latter giving her a cameo in J. Michael Straczynski’s The Twelve. However, now Miss Fury, Marla Drake, is back in her own brand new comic book series from Dynamite Entertainment. The new on-going title will be written by Rob Williams (Venom, Uncanny X-Force), with art by Jackson Herbert (Queen Sonja, Black Terror).

When Miss Fury foils a wartime plot by Nazi secret agents, she is catapulted through time… or so it seems. Is she really careening from past to future and back, or has she lost her mind? And if her sanity remains intact, can one lone heroine possibly hope to end World War II by herself, a conflict still waged into the year 2013? As witness to generations of bloodshed and violence, Miss Fury has lots of righteous rage… and anger is her fearsome power! Check out her brand new series, which debuts this Wednesday and features over 9 covers by top comic artists! Miss Fury #1 features covers by J. Scott Campbell (Danger Girl, Amazing Spider-man), Alex Ross (Kingdom Come, Project Superpowers), Paul Renaud (Athena, Red Sonja), Ale Garza (Kato, Teen Titans), and Will Conrad (Stormwatch, Serenity)! You can pick up your copy in stores later this week, on April 3rd! Until then, check out our preview down below:
