free comic book day logoWe’ve already had Wolverine advertising Free Comic Book Day, so why not include the live action representative of The Punisher? Yes, Thomas Jane has joined in on spreading the word of Free Comic Book Day. For those not in the know, Free Comic Book Day is like Christmas come early for comic book fans, as publishers put together a large collection of new or re-printed comic material for comic shops to hand out free to customers on the first weekend of May each year. You can learn more about Free Comic Book Day by visiting their site, here. And now, thanks to the aid of another celebrity comic fan, the word of Free Comic Book Day is going to spread even further. The always enjoyably eccentric Thomas Jane has become a regular at comic conventions since his appearance as The Punisher in the 2004 film. You can regularly find him at his entertainment company’s booth, RAW studios; a company he co-owns where he also publishes his own comic series, such as Bad Planet. If you haven’t had the great pleasure of interacting with Jane at a show, this video advertising Free Comic Book Day rather sums up his great, but slightly scattered, personality. It was filmed at Silver Lake, California’s Secret Headquarters comic shop and is quite worth a watch. Remember, Free Comic Book Day is May 4th this year so save the date, bring some friends, and make the world a much happier place with Thomas Jane.
