Udon Christmas Card 2013UDON Entertainment has always produced stunning art in both comics and art books. What some fans may not know is they have also produced some rather beautiful holiday cards. We just got our 2013 Holiday Card from UDON yesterday, and it looks gorgeous! The art is by James Ghio, UDON’s newest artist. Ghio was also the artist who did those awesome wrap-around dust jackets for the UDON San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive Street Fighter Hardcover earlier this year. While UDON is known for doing some awesome exclusives, especially with Video Game art, they have continuously surprised their work associates with awesome holiday cards. Most comic companies ship these out to those they work with every year around this time, but they unfortunately aren’t often shown off online. This year, as a treat, UDON actually posted all their Holiday Cards dating back to 2006. You can view the sexy and cheerful images by the likes of Joe Ng, Shun Hong Chan, Genzoman, and others on the UDON blog by clicking here. But if you feel that isn’t enough great holiday art from the guys at UDON, don’t worry! Over on the UDON Entertainment Facebook page, the studio has been posting holiday art each day since December started (a bit like an advent calendar, with less chocolate and more breath taking visuals) from across their various comics, manga, and translated art books. The company did something similar in October for Halloween, and the art was everything you’d hope for. But I think UDON out did themselves this December with artwork from animes like Haruhi, video games like Sonic and Megaman, and artwork from their art books such as Atelier: Artworks of Arland.
