KingConanConqueror1-00King Conan is back, all hail the king! Yes, Dark Horse is bringing back King Conan for a new mini-series starting this February. In the port city of Messantia, the deposed, fugitive Conan could uncover the key to regaining his throne—or he could get a knife in the back! Conan follows a lead to a lost relic, revisits an old friend, and finds that he’s not alone in his risky hunt for a missing, magical gem. This storyline, entitled King Conan: The Conqueror, continues Dark Horse’s adaptation of Robert E. Howard’s The Hour of the Dragon, which is sometimes referred to as Conan the Conqueror. The Hour of the Dragon was one of the last published Conan stories before Howard’s death, and is often considered quite the enjoyable read. Dark Horse began their adaptation of the original prose story in a 6-issue mini-series entitled King Conan: The Hour of the Dragon, which wrapped up last October. King Conan: The Conqueror begins with its first issue releasing next month, on Wednesday February 26th of this year. The series will be written by Timothy Truman, with art by Tomás Giorello and colors by José Villarrubia, the same creative team that brought you King Conan: The Hour of the Dragon last year.
