New York Comic Con ’12: Injustice Introduces Green Arrow And Packaging
Oct 11th
As the release date of Injustice nears we are still discovering new playable characters in the game. The newest playable character is that of Green Arrow. Timed perfectly with the series premiere of DC’s new show, Arrow, the Emerald Archer looks like a formidable fighter in the universe of Injustice. For those of you at New York Comic Con this weekend, he is even a playable character you can demo at the DC Entertainment booth (#1238). For those of you who aren’t we have some incredible shots of Oliver Queen in action, fighting Wonder Woman and Solomon Grundy.
But with only More >
CW’s Arrow - A Review From A Comic Fan’s Perspective
Oct 10th
Tonight was the premiere of DC’s brand new live action TV series based off a comic, Arrow. Arrow is based off the not always popular DC character, Green Arrow (as opposed to the golden age Centaur Publications superhero, actually named Arrow), of who I am admittedly quite the fan of. For many, being a fan of Green Arrow is much like being a fan or Aquaman, in that we catch a lot of flack for liking a character with rather goofy powers (in Green Arrows case, that power is actually just the ability to shoot arrows really well). So when More >
DC To Make Digital Comic Of Arrow
Sep 16th
DC once made a great comic book character named Green Arrow who one day (October 10th, 2012 to be specific) would star in a TV series called Arrow (unrelated to his appearance in WB’s Smallville TV show). Based off Arrow, DC would then make a digital comic book series about the television version of Oliver Queen that was released weekly on their website. Yes, that is where we are now. Set to premiere the same day as the CW TV series, Arrow will be a brand new, weekly, digital first comic series from DC comics. Written by the TV series’ executive More >
DC’s Super Power Break Ups Of The New 52
Aug 31st
After the kiss that’s currently selling comics in Justice League #12, between Superman and Wonder Woman, DC is taking a bit of pride that they have created such love in their new universe. However, most of us will all remember that for years it wasn’t Clark Kent and Diana of Themyscira, but Clark and Lois Lane. So when DC’s blog today put out a list of their Super Power Couples, many fans moaned and groaned about the love lost when DC rebooted its universe into the New 52. Feeling your pain, while DC gloats of what they called “those perfect More >

CW’s The Arrow - First Look
May 20th
As we’ve talked about for sometime now, Warner Bros. is bringing the Green Arrow to television via their popular television channel, CW. However, this is not the blonde bearded emerald archer you might recall from the past 50 years of comics. No, he’s not even the swell, clean shaven, Robin Hood archetype you heard about (or perhaps even read) back in More Fun Comics #73 (way back in 1941). This Green Arrow is more of a modern take, with an appearance much closer to the New 52 Green Arrow. He is youthful, a little more Nolan-esque, and kind of reminding More >
First Image From The New CW Series, Arrow
Mar 19th
Arrow, the new CW TV series based of DC comic’s Green Arrow, finally has an image to help promote it’s pilot. The image, seen above, is of the costume Oliver Queen (Arrow…or Green Arrow for comic fans) will be wearing in the series. It is designed by costume designer Colleen Atwood, who has been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Costume Design 9 times and won the Award for her costuming work on Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Alice in Wonderland. Obviously this costume is much different, but still quite nice and faithful to the comic character.

Wonder Woman Goes to Trial - No, this is thankfully not the story of yet another comic book ownership rights case, unless the men and women behind Harry’s Law need an idea for a sequel episode to this week’s show. Yes, Harry’s Law, of all the unexpected shows to see mentioned on Speak Geeky To Me. However, there is good reason, for More >
