SG2M Travels: Las Vegas Comic Expo ’13
The City of Sin went from a desert oasis that lacked comic conventions just a few years ago to a city quickly on the rise when it comes to that topic. Vegas has long since had plenty of incredible comic shops, but over the past year it now has plenty of great comic conventions, from Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con to Grant Morrison’s unique venture into comic event hosting. But the convention that brought them all back to Vegas, Las Vegas Comic Expo, is now back for its second year. So if you’re in the area or can travel out, why not make your weekend count with some sinful Vegas activities alongside some awesome comic creators and television stars at The Riviera Casino and Hotel. Hell, you could even become a star yourself, as SyFy films a cosplay themed episode of their new series, Naked Vegas, at the convention itself!

History: 2012 saw the very first Las Vegas Comic Expo, and the first comic convention inside Las Vegas in quite a long time. While the shows initial year was in direct competition with Grant Morrison’s unique comic festival, just a few blocks away, LVCE still managed to gather a rather large collection of comic creators and celebrities which drew a notable and happy crowd. This year the convention looks even bigger and better as it returns to The Riviera Casino & Hotel for year 2 of the show.
