It may not be an exact date, nor is it an official press release, but thanks to the twitter of Janet Varney, Avatar fans have a rough date to aim for when it comes to expecting season 2 of the popular Avatar: Legend of Korra series. Varney, the voice actress for Korra, gave us this unofficial announcement in response to a question on twitter. Asked by a fan when season 2, otherwise known as Book 2: Spirits, of Legend of Korra would finally air, Varney responded “Mid-April, I believe!” The tweet has since spread around several fan sites for the series and is getting a lot of sharing on social networks. The tweet, which you can see below, is the first hint fans have been given towards the release of Book 2 of Legend of Korra since it was fully announced at San Diego Comic Con last year. The season was ordered from Nickelodeon way back in 2011 and scripting was finished by June of 2012, just before the finale of Book 1 aired in the US. Almost a year later, it is safe to presume Varney knows what she is talking about and fans can expect Nickelodeon to premiere Book 2 of Legend of Korra on April 13th or April 20th.
