No one likes getting medical results mailed to them. It’s often a frightful and stressful wait as you sit at home expecting the post, hoping for the best to be printed out on a simple sheet of paper with a small logo somewhere near the top. Today, when the mail came in, I had received a large envelope that I opened up and briefly glanced at. It started with “Dear Mathias Lewis, We’re writing to let you know the results of your recent blood test..” Now I had recently went to my doctors for a basic check up, which included a bit of blood work. It’s a normal thing, and I didn’t expect to ever hear back from them. But now I was worried and frantically read on about this medical group testing me for a virus known as G+ (I could’ve laughed at how similar this was to a certain Google owned social networking site, but I was too afraid). Thankfully the test results came back negative. Never-the-less, I read on, educating myself about this virus. Apparently it is a fatal virus, most prevalent in major US and Western European cities. Symptoms include an increased sex drive, enhanced physical attributes, and…nuclear meltdown?!?! It was at this point that I looked at the rest of this package and saw the letter from Titan Comics, including our review copy of the upcoming Death Sentence #1. Titan Comics had got me with a hilarious scare and brilliant tease into what looks to be a very interesting comic (a review will undoubtedly follow). Check out the letter I received below:

Death Sentence Letter

By turns funny, dark, sad and spectacular, Death Sentence is an emotional thrillride through celebrity, loss, passion and creativity. It’s the jaw-dropping next stage in superpowered storytelling! Packed with unforgettable shocks, quotable dialogue, and the character finds of a generation, this is an unmissable debut by two striking and confident new voices!
