So I have been a comic book fan for quite some time and being that I am also somewhat of a girly girl who loves fashion, I thought why not marry the two together; Comics + Fashion= <3. With the help of Polyvore, Fashionable Looks from Comic Books was born. Each month I will showcase a particular look or series of looks based on your favorite comic book characters. Girls take note! These fashions make you want to jump up and go shopping right now! I know a few of them have inspired me to do a little wardrobe reorganizing! The cover of a comic is important. It needs to strike you as you walk by and pull you in, make you interested and wonder what could possibly be on the inside. A good outfit in the window of a shop does the same thing, it draws you in and makes you want to search the rest of the store for more. I have, on more than one occasion, purchased a comic just based on it’s cover alone. Some of them made me curious, some struck a cord with me personally, and others just had some smashing outfits on them. This sparked an idea, Why not try and replicate these outfits at an affordable price for you to find and buy? I know that’s something that interests me. That is what these Cover Girl editions of FLFCB are going to be, short, sweet, to the point affordable fashion. Enjoy!

Ms. Marvel #1 just hit shelves and when I saw this cover I knew I had to replicate this outfit. The cover was drawn by the talented Italian artist, Sara Pichelli (who looks to have taken a hint from Gary Frank’s classic Supergirl #1 cover, that was released 18 years ago!), and focuses more on the new Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan’s, outfit. I took some liberties with adding extras you can’t see on the cover but I think it works out just fine. This is a great casual look for anyone to wear.

Ms. Marvel #1
The majority of the pieces in this outfit cost under $25 each and some are well under $15, making this a pretty darn affordable outfit with a lot of pieces you can mix and match with the rest of your wardrobe. I mean come on, who doesn’t love a good pair of Chucks???
Until Next Time!
