Marvel Cancels Upcoming Covers By Milo Manara.

In this Tuesday’s edition of Diamond Comic Distributors “Product & Shipping Updates” it seems that 2 upcoming variant covers originally solicited to be drawn by the legendary Italian artist would now be drawn by someone else. Siya Oum (Aspen’s Lola XOXO) will be providing the art for October’s Avengers & X-Men: Axis #1, and the artist for November’s Thor #2 has yet to be announced. DC’s Supergirl Finds A Home At CBS

It seems Warner Bros has finally learned its lesson about keeping it all in house, with DC properties seeing new TV shows at NBC in the way of Constantine and Fox for Gotham. But now CBS is getting in on the superhero fun with another DC property going to TV in the form of Supergirl. Deadpool Finally Gets His Movie

Yesterday, Twentieth Century Fox finally made the announcement many Marvel fans have been dying to hear: the Deadpool movie has been green lit. While the studio has still yet to sign on actor Ryan Reynolds, he is the pursued actor for the titular role and unlikely to say no towards reprising his Wolverine: Origins role, considering it was his voice that graced the popular “leaked” footage post-San Diego Comic Con. LBCC ’14: The Dwayne McDuffie Award

Dwayne McDuffie was an iconic comic creator and television writer taken from us far too early. By the age of 49, Dwayne had helped create several amazing comic characters, been responsible for a number of brilliant animated comic adaptations in television and film, and written a number of notable comic storylines in books like Justice League of America, Firestorm, and Fantastic Four. Rose City Comic Con ’14: Dark Horse Panels and Signings

Batgirl #35 - A Huge 10-Page Unedited Preview!

Earlier this week, comic retailers were sent an 11-page preview of the upcoming Batgirl #35. Why were they sent so many pages so far in advance? Because DC Comics is shaking up the Batgirl series pretty heavily with this new issues and they want retailers to see what is coming so they order big. The new storyline also features a new creative team, as Gail Simone makes way for Brenden Fletcher, Cameron Stewart, and artist Babs Tarr (wonderfully named artist for Batgirl, right?). SG2M Travels: Long Beach Comic Con 2014

In about 16 days the SG2M team will be traveling to Long Beach, CA to attend one of our absolute favorite shows. This is the 6th year for the Long Beach Comic Con, which will be taking place at the beautiful Long Beach Convention Center September 27th and 28th.
