Dead Body On Avengers 2 Set
Mar 31st
In many modern action and adventure films it is not uncommon to find a few dead bodies on set, covered in make up to add to the gravity of a scene. But it is rather uncommon to come across a real corpse on your set while preparing to shoot a scene. Unfortunately for all parties that happened today on the set of Avengers 2, currently filming in Seoul, Korea. Joss Whedon was preparing to film on Mapo Bridge, a major bridge with high traffic that crosses over the Han River in Seoul. This bridge also has a sad reputation for More >
Amazing Deliveries From Amazing Spider-Man
Mar 30th
One of the more unique geeky crossovers is that of comic fans and stamp collectors. For years the greatest comic characters have found their way on to collectable US Postal Service stamps and collectors have gone crazy gathering and displaying them. They’re certainly quite awesome collectables and great fun to see on a new package or letter in the case that someone actually uses them for shipping. But what if the USPS had other great comic products that were guaranteed to see use beyond collecting, so that comic fans might be even more surprised when they received a letter or More >
Jason Mewes Promotes Free Comic Book Day
Mar 29th
It is almost upon us, the first Saturday of May, which means FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! Perhaps the best day of the year, and certain considered such by famed comic actor, Jason Mewes. Previously Jason’s acting buddy and director friend, Kevin Smith, narrated a Free Comic Book Day ad to promote the event, and now Mewes is getting involved in a video that definitely seems in the style we all likely know to be his. He joins a long list of celebrities endorsing the event who include Stan Lee, Hugh Jackman, and Brian Michael Bendis. This year’s FCBD features over 60 More >
Now Is The Time To Buy Walking Dead!
Mar 28th
The current storyline of The Walking Dead Comics is set to shake up life as we know it for the crew we’ve been following for the past 120+ issues. In fact, this week’s release has me on the edge of my seat waiting for what could possibly come next. This is only compounded by the frightful and exciting solicits for issue #127 of The Walking Dead, which appears to have a new cast that might lead into the upcoming Walking Dead spin-off TV series. But you say you haven’t read Walking Dead? You’re maybe interested, only have a few volumes, More >
Joss Whedon Apologises In Advance To The People Of Seoul
Mar 28th
Living in places like Chicago, London, Los Angeles, or New York City you might be used to filming being done in your major metropolitan area, causing temporary road closure, traffic, and the inability to use certain public or private areas. It’s a cost citizens of those areas just have to pay to see their city get blown apart or ripped through by epic action and adventure films (it is admittedly rare that romantic comedies lock down a street for multiple days…but then again it has happened). As Marvel Studios big new film, Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, begins filming in More >
An Unexpected New DC Title In Teen Titans: Earth One
Mar 27th
DC’s new Earth One series of original graphic novels have been a successful surprise in reviving classic DC comic characters in a more modern style by top tier comic creators. So far they have released Superman: Earth One by J. Michael Staczynski (Thor, Superman) and Shane Davis, and Batman: Earth One by Geoff Johns (Justice League, Aquaman) and Gary Frank (Action Comics, Justice League). With Wonder Woman: Earth One on the way from Grant Morrison (Final Crisis, Batman & Robin) and Yanick Paquette (Swamp Thing, Ultimate X-Men), now titled Wonder Woman: The Trial of Diana Prince, fans have been quite More >

Today Riot Games announced (via leagueoflegends.com) that their Teambuilder queue will soon be a permanent part of the game in a future update! After what seems to be an overwhelmingly successful 48-hour beta test across each region that the game is currently available in, the top guns of Riot have decided that this needs to be in our lives.
Teambuilder is a queue type where you can quite literally pick your role and your champion before entering the queue, and then the matchmaking system will pair you up with other players looking for a game with the Teambuilder. You can enter More >
X-Men: Days Of Future Past Second Trailer
Mar 24th
The new X-men movie just gets better and better every time a new image or trailer is revealed. Today’s trailer looks particularly epic, and I’m certainly praising the return of Bryan Singer right now. Set for release in just 2 months, on May 23rd, the X-Men of 2 time lines and 2 sets of movies from Fox studios will crossover for an epic recreation of one of Chris Claremont’s best mutant stories from the 80′s.
Now I just have to ask, that Sentinel at the end (possibly a Nimrod)…is it just me, or is Fox taking cue from a certain Destroyer’s More >
Pilots, Prepare for Titanfall!
Mar 24th
It’s rare that a game that’s as hyped up as Titanfall actually lives up to it. In many cases, you’re left with a sense of emptiness in your soul after a game has been talked up so much, and the game rarely lives up to what is promised or rumored to be from the community at large.
Titanfall, the new Multiplayer First-Person Mech/Shooter from Respawn Entertainment is a title that definitely lives up to its hype. You man the role of a Pilot from either the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (or IMC), a ruthless commercial empire bent on controlling the galaxy’s resources, More >
