Marvel Premieres The First Episode Of “Earth’s Mightiest Show”

We first talked about Marvel’s first Original Video series, Earth’s Mightiest Show, when it was announced back during SXSW this year. Now, Marvel has just premiered the first episode of their new psuedo-talk/news show aimed, not just around Marvel topics, but on geek culture in general. The 14+ minute opening episode has the show’s host, Blair Butler (popularly known for co-hosting G4′s Attack of the Show and X-Play), talk a bit about Comic Con and few relatively recent moments in geek news. The more shining moments of the episode however are the interviews she conducts with Seth Green, Duncan Rouleau, and Joe Casey in relation to Marvels animated TV series, Avengers Assemble and Hulk and the Agents of SMASH. Finally, you get a bit of the traditional talk show style…mediocre skit comedy with professional bodybuilder Frank McGrath “training” the show’s Comic Con correspondent, Ben Begley, right before the wrap up. The show’s cuts are rather quick and eloquent, but the show has potential for being a fun place to watch more Marvel interviews and news. That said, you shouldn’t really run away from our site or other Geek news sources yet, as this will just be there to give you light brushes of topics long since over talked on forums at the end of each week, generally with a Marvel focus on them. The show will be weekly, with next week’s episode coming to you from Comic Con (likely no more than a day or two into the convention, with much news still to follow) and can be seen on Marvel.com or the Marvel Youtube channel.
