Zenescope Entertainment is celebrating their 10th Anniversary this year and has already released a series of incredible trade show exclusives at various conventions around the world. Long Beach Comic Con ’12: Grimm Fairy Tales Animated Series Panel

At Wondercon 2012, earlier this year in Anaheim, Ca. Zenescope Comics announced the launching of a Kickstarter campaign with an initial goal of $175,000 that would hopefully result in their long running flagship title, Grimm Fairy Tales, being brought to life as an animated series. 3 months, 1174 backers, and $188,970 later and production on the project began.

Al Rio, Yet Another Comic Great, Passes Away

[private]Alvaro ‘Al’ Rio was a well known and respected Brazilian comic artist and cartoonist that helped shape countless characters throughout his career. He was a defining force at Wildstorm Comics in the late 90’s and onward, working on books like Gen13, DV8, and Voodoo (one of my favorite Wildstorm titles, written by Alan Moore). He has worked at comic companies like Marvel, DC, Crossgen, Dark Horse, Chaos, Image, Malibu, and most recently Zenescope Entertainment.
