San Diego Comic Fest SG2M Travels: San Diego Comic Fest ’13
Oct 3rd
It’s been a quarter of a year since San Diego’s last comic convention, July’s Comic Con International, so it is about time for a new San Diego comic event. Thankfully, some of the very founders of San Diego’s Comic Con have put together a new comic show in sunny Southern California, called Comic Fest. This will be the show’s second year, with a few impressive guests for a small convention focused more on the art than the media that profits off it. We’ll be there to cover the event, and if you’re in the area we recommend you swing by More >

For all Geeks looking for a post con season return to anime, comic, and cosplay fun that live around California’s Riverside County, might I suggest swinging by today’s Art, Anime, Comics, & Cosplay Expo? The small convention runs for just several hours mid-day today, but offers various forms of Geeky fun, including a cosplay masquerade I will be judging. The warm weather of summer is still striking Southern California, so cool off for a day at a fun show that also helps support several great non-profit organizations!

SG2M Travels: San Diego Comic Con International 2013
Jul 16th
Summer is in full swing and it’s certainly getting hot out here in Southern California as we prepare for yet another San Diego Comic Con International. This one looks to be as big as ever, as the show continues to increase in it’s attention from all around the world, even if the San Diego Fire Marshals won’t allow it to increase in size. While we know some folks, like Peter Jackson, won’t be making it out to the show, you can expect others to be in full force. Comic creators from around the world will be mingling on the convention More >
SG2M Travels: Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con 2013
Jun 12th
This weekend SG2M is heading out to the City of Sin for 3 days of Comics, Games, Cosplay, and more at Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con. This will be the first year for this convention, but it comes from the experienced mind of organizer Jimmy Jay, who has previously brought you Amazing Arizona Comic Con, which we spoke to him about earlier this year, and Image Comic Expo. The guest list for the convention looks astounding and the location doesn’t get much better, as Vegas is a town known not only for throwing big events, but plays home to some More >
SG2M Travels: Long Beach Comic Expo ’13
May 10th
There’s very little like a one day comic convention, where you can just escape away into the comic world without the high cost or commitment of a full weekend con. But most 1-day comic cons tend to be really tiny events, with a handful of guests at best. Long Beach Comic Expo is different. While LBCX is not on the same level of its fall convention, Expo has a rather large number of guests and exhibitors, including a few major comic companies on hand to sell their wares, sign your books, and keep you entertained. At just $15 a ticket, More >

Expect some big news to come from DC, with several major creators and the company’s publishers on site. Joss Whedon will be bringing his cast of the new Much Adieu About Nothing film, and Netflix will be showing of its upcoming Hemlock Grove. So More >
SG2M Travels: So Cal Comic Con ’12
Nov 17th
Tomorrow is the 3rd annual So Cal Comic Con, a small convention hidden away in the lovely coastal city of Oceanside. This convention is truly the opposite of San Diego County’s far more well known comic convention, San Diego’s Comic Con International. A small con focused on comics, with several creators present for only one day, this is the show to meet and interact with some of your favorite creators. Previously this show has been a very small event, held in the city’s Boys and Girls Club, but this year it has upgraded venues, promotion, and guest lists, as it More >
