Marvel Is Throwing An Avengers & X-Men: Axis Party In Your Store

Continuing the chain of awesome Marvel parties held by various participating comic shops around the world, Marvel is providing supplies for yet another this October to celebrate the launch of Avengers & X-Men: Axis #1! While we still have the Death of Wolverine parties to look forward to on September 3rd, select comic shops will be throwing Axis parties on October 8th and we now know what the shops will have to give away!
The traditional fare for Marvel parties at local comic shops are a few party exclusive variants, a sketch version of said variant that is limited to 1 per shop, and some lithos as of late. For Axis Marvel seems to be upping the support with what they’re calling an Invserion Looper. It looks rather cool, and you can see an example below:

Pretty nifty, right? Along with the inversion will be the traditional Deadpool party variant. This time the artist is the always hilarious Chip Zdarsky who has certainly found a great way of mocking Marvel’s big event Deadpool style with a mix of his own humor that also breaks the 4th wall to mock the actual cover itself! Participating stores can order this up like there is no tomorrow, but the black and white sketch variant of this cover is going to be limit 1 per shop, making its price a fair bit higher than the others. Of course, it likely won’t beat some of the other high end ratio variants set for release. There will be a 1:50 Milo Manara variant that has not yet been released as well as a 1:50 Young Guns variant that will undoubtedly look quite keen. But the big gem of this event for variant hunters will be the 1:100 Inversion variant by Gabriele Dell’Otto, which you can see below:

Leading up to the party, participating stores will get party invitation post cards to promote the event. You should check your local comic shop to see if they’ll be hosting and seeing those invite cards is a great way to find out and spread the word. Now we have one other treat to leave you with. As usual, Skottie Young is doing a very cute baby variant for Axis #1, which features Dr. Doom and Red Skull. Participating stores who host the Axis party will get Lithos to give out or sell at the event, depicting this cover. Otherwise, any store who meets the requirements can order and sell the adorable Skottie Young variant you see below. Retailers interested in host the event need to meet the requirements by Monday, September 1st. Hopefully you’ll find a shop near you to grab all these items and perhaps partake in additional fun events!
