sin-city-dame-to-kill-for-bannerWe’ve been waiting 9 years so far for the long awaited sequel to the 2005 movie adaptation of Sin City. Promised to us long ago by the comic’s creator, Frank Miller, and director, Robert Rodriguez, the last film was beautifully made into an almost panel to frame adaption of 3 great comic epics, with a bit of added material from Sin City one-shots. Now the Dark Horse comic title by Frank Miller finally returns to the silver screen with an adaptation of A Dame To Kill For (Miller’s second Sin City tale, and a prequel to the story that appeared in the first Sin City movie) and the short story “Just Another Saturday Night” (which is collected in the Sin City trade paperback, Booze, Broads & Bullets). Joining these two adaptions are two original Sin City stories by Miller, The Long Bad Night and The Fat Loss. The film will be Co-Directed once more by Miller and Rodriguez, which might explain why Miller is a little behind on his 300 prequel, Xerxes. Today the trailer hit the net for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and you can now see why we’re all excited. We see some of what was originally shown by Rodriguez back in February of last year, along with much much more! Sin City 2 hits theaters this August 22nd in the USA and August 29th in the UK, only about a year later than originally expected.
